Senior Pastor Phil Richards
Attended Bluefield State College with a bachelor's degree from Christian Bible College and Seminary and currently working on an M Div. in Christian Counseling. Married to Teresa and has two wonderful children (Marisa and Matthew) and a wonderful granddaugher (Olivia).
I have a deep passion for teaching and preaching the Word of God, and spending quality time in prayer. I also enjoy all kinds of sports, especially basketball and golf. Many times, you will just find me, in my quiet time, playing the guitar or piano.
As a pastor, I seek to give of myself for the spiritual health and betterment of the church. To that end, I give God the praise and the glory, for He has, to my utter amazement, seen fit to use me in such a role. It is by God's grace alone that He has chosen me in this way, and I am humbled by such a great blessing.
I have been truly blessed to be used by God to pastor some wonderful people. I have seen God do miraculous things with the time that He had given me at these churches, and I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead for West Hampton Baptist Church.
